are responsible for proper use of the system.  The following items should NOT be introduced into any sewer with directly or through a kitchen waste disposal unit:

Strong Chemicals

Flammable Material

Lubricating Oil

Grease

Condoms

Gasoline

Explosives

Glass

Metal

Kitty Litter

Seafood Shells

Diapers, socks, rags or cloth

Plastic objects (toys, utensils, etc.)

Sanitary napkins or tampons

Personal wipes, baby wipes, doggie wipes and other disposable wipes (even if advertised as "flushable" should NOT be flushed down the toilet or otherwise introduced into the sewer.  These items do not decompose quickly enough and can clog the grinder pump.
